Heather Kerfeld – MA, CT is working towards independent licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is the School-Linked Mental Health Program Director and is also the SLMH Therapist for the Monticello School District. Heather obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy from the Adler Graduate School. She works from an Adlerian framework, and utilizes an eclectic, person-centered, compassionate approach applying techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Energy and Integrative Psychology, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Art Therapy. Heather enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds and is comfortable with trauma, grief/loss, spirituality, attachment issues, relationship difficulties, parenting, LGBTQ populations, chronic illness, stress management, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, chemical dependency, and serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).

Karrie Halbur – MA, LAMFT is working towards independent licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Karrie is the SLMH Therapist for the Kimball and Maple Lake School Districts. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Evergreen State University and a Master of Arts in Adlerian counseling and Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School. Karrie has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and families addressing: ADHD, PTSD, FASD, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, parenting, foster and adoptive issues, assisting families with stability, communication, and advocacy.  Karrie works from an Adlerian framework, and utilizes a person-centered, compassionate approach applying techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Animal-assisted Therapy.

Samantha Preusser MSW, LGSW  is working on completing licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She is the SLMH Therapist for the Sartell-St. Stephen School District. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University–Mankato and a Master of Social Work degree from St. Cloud State University. Samantha specializes in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. She provides a positive and accepting environment where children and adolescents are safe to explore life challenges. She utilizes an empowerment based relational approach together with a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to aid clients in achieving their self-defined goals. Her areas of particular interest include self-esteem/self-worth, managing intense emotions, trauma work, chemical dependency, relationships, managing family dynamics, and support during life transitions.

Jerrion Richardson – MSSW, LGSW is working on completing licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. He is the SLMH Therapist for the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District. Jerrion obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Child Welfare Certification from Austin Peay State University. He earned a Master of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. He developed his skillset in Child Protective Services, homeless outreach, disaster relief, and mental health crisis before relocating to Minnesota. Jerrion’s interests and clinical focus include working with children, adolescents, and young adults on self-esteem, anxiety, depression, SPMI, and chemical dependency issues. He utilizes person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Amanda Szulczewski – MA, LPCC is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She is the SLMH Therapist for the Delano School District. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. Amanda specializes in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. She provides a positive and accepting environment where children and adolescents are safe to explore life challenges. She utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral and psychoeducational approach, along with mindfulness techniques, to help clients and their families learn how to manage behaviors and regulate emotions. Amanda’s areas of particular interest include working with children and adolescents on issues related to depression, anxiety, difficulty managing emotions, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and sibling and family conflict.

Sheri Tesch – MS, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Parent Educator. She is the SLMH Therapist for the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District and has been working with the district since 2001. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of MN Duluth, a Master of Science in Child and Family Studies from St. Cloud State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working with children and adolescents ages birth to 18 and enjoys presenting on children’s mental health topics to students, professionals, and parents. Sheri is a system’s therapist who utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, narrative strategies, and psychoeducational approaches to assist children and their families in learning skills necessary to emotionally regulate, manage behavior, and improve overall functioning. She has experience working specifically with children and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as those who have experienced trauma or disrupted attachment.

Leslie Young MS, LPCC, RPT  is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. She is the SLMH Therapist for the Albany and ROCORI school districts. Leslie received a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s certificate in Play Therapy from St. Mary’s University. Leslie has 10 years of experience in the human services field and community-based programs working with early childhood, adolescents, adults, and families in their homes, schools, foster care and juvenile justice settings. Leslie is highly effective in working with young people and enjoys engaging in the process of holistic, positive change.  Through her integrated, experiential approach she strives to help individuals achieve the goals they have in mind for themselves.
