Central Minnesota Mental Health Center has begun to provide it’s staff, as well as it’s community, with a bi-annual keynote speaker around core topics that are consistent with our values.  These keynotes will address  Domain 3 (Trauma Informed Educated and Responsive Workforce), Domain 5 (Create Safe and Secure Work Environments), and Domain 6 (Engage in Community Outreach and Partnership Building) of Central Minnesota Mental Health Centers ongoing TIC initiative.

Below are upcoming events occuring around our community.

October 9, 2017 – Understanding ACEs: Building Self-Healing Communities

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study findings  represent a paradigm shift in the human understanding of the origins of physical, social, mental and societal health and well-being.  We now know that leading causes of disease and disability, learning and productivity problems, and early death have their roots in the cumulative neurodevelopmental impacts of ACEs.

This presentation provides information about the ACEs study, along with neurobiology that explains why ACEs impact people’s lives, and what we can do to dramatically improve health and resilience for this and future generations.

If you are interested in attending this event, please view the flyer in the link above for details then complete and return the form.
