Central Minnesota Mental Health Center offers an array of benefits to its employees. This information regarding benefit coverage is intended to be a general summary only. CMMHC reserves the right to change policies, and/or terminate benefits at any time.
Health insurance is offered to eligible staff. The agency agrees to provide a set amount for employee and/or family coverage. The employee is responsible for the balance of the insurance premium. Medical insurance is provided through HealthPartners. CMMHC offers three (3) plan designs, all in which the monthly premium for an employee only is $45.00 – $65.00.
Dental insurance is available to eligible staff through Delta Dental of Minnesota. CMMHC covers 100% of this premium to full time staff.
Group Term Life Insurance and AD&D
CMMHC provides life and AD&D insurance to eligible staff at a rate of one (1) times their base salary but not to exceed $50,000. Additional group term life insurance can be purchased by the employee on a voluntary basis.
Long Term Disability Insurance
CMMHC provides this insurance to eligible staff at a rate of 60% of their current salary but not to exceed $60,000.
Professional Liability Insurance
Professional liability insurance is provided for all employees other than contracted labor or independent contractors.
Vision insurance is available to eligible staff through EyeMed Vision Care. The monthly cost to obtain vision insurance with CMMHC is $4.72 for employee only.
Expanded Flex Plan
CMMHC offers employees the opportunity to contribute funds to a Flexible Benefit Plan which allows an employee to use pre-tax dollars for a variety of qualifying expenses, such as dependent care expenses, most out-of-pocket medical expenses, and medical and dental insurance premiums.
403(b) Retirement Plan
All employees, age 18 and older, who regularly work a minimum of 20 hours per week, are eligible for CMMHC’s retirement program. Employees receive agency contributions of 5.5% of their annual salary as of the first entry date immediately following the day on which the employee completes twelve months of service and works at least 1000 hours. Any contributions made by the Agency to the plan are considered discretionary. Employees can make their own contributions to the plan immediately upon beginning employment.
CMMHC grants eligible employees at least eight  paid holidays each year; New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
It is the agency’s belief that employees should be granted time away from work to balance professional and personal schedules. CMMHC provides paid time away from work to eligible employees based upon years of service. New hires begin accruing PTO at 22 days in the first year.
