Internship Opportunities

At CMMHC, we recognize the value of how continued education and on-the-job training can enhance an individual’s career. Our client-facing programs host interns from many disciplines, such as social work, family therapy, counseling, psychology, and nursing. We appreciate our community partners and enjoy hosting interns from various educational institutions and hospitals. CMMHC is happy to play a role in the educational needs of future mental and chemical health staff at several academic levels.
To be eligible for placement, students must:
  • Image
    Be degree-seeking in an accredited program in social work, psychology, nursing, counseling, advanced practice medical professional, or other behavioral health-related programs.

    Receive educational credit toward the above-identified degree(s).

Master’s students
  • Image
    School Linked Mental Health (SLMH) – Provide individual and group therapy to students in one of the participating school buildings. Engage in family therapy after school hours as needed.

    Outpatient Therapy (Adult and Youth) – Provide individual, group, family, or couples therapy in an office-based setting, in person, or via telehealth.

Internships occur during the Fall, Spring, and Summer in accordance with school semester schedules. All internships are unpaid positions.
