Buffalo, MN Open Positions

Full-Time

Mental Health Professional: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity in our Buffalo Outpatient Mental Health (OPMH) Department for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for treating clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders within a family driven and trauma informed framework.  The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide therapy to individuals, family and groups in an out-patient setting
  • Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a recipient’s eligibility for mental health services
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and rapid screen needs of clients

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • Doctoral level LP or LICSW
  • Medicare Eligible Provider preferred
  • Two years’ experience in out-patient therapy is preferred
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Part-Time

Community Support Provider: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Part-Time Community Support Program (CSP) Provider. The Community Support Program (CSP) Provider is responsible for assisting individuals with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness residing in Wright County with educational, recreation and daily living assistance to maintain a dignified, meaningful, independent quality of life. This involves group settings (CARES) and individual settings (AILS).  The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Create and assist in implementing a treatment plan for each AILS recipient
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with assigned recipients and assist client in learning and establishing independent living skills.
  • Provide community assisted recreation, education, and support groups to include both day and evening events
  • Create, plan, and document group activities.
  • Drive clients
  • Complete mandatory DHS and Wright County paperwork

This position will typically work 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • The Mental Health Practitioner shall meet the qualifications defined in Minnesota Statute 245.462 subdivision 17
  • Experience and training in behavioral learning techniques, rehabilitation theory and practice
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitation’s screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
