Full-Time

Office Support- Elk River: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Office Support in our Elk River Office. The Office Support position is an administrative job with responsibility for multiple support functions. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Exceptional customer service
  • Greet Clients and Visitors
  • Answer Multi-line telephone and direct calls
  • Schedule Appointments
  • Verify insurance and collect copays and fees
  • Office and Client support
  • Flexibility to cover hours outside of normal shift is required

The hours for this position are: Mondays – 8:00am – 5:30pm; Tuesdays – 11:00am – 8:00pm; Wednesdays – 8:00am – 5:30pm; Thursdays – 9:00am – 6:00pm; Fridays – 7:30am – 12:30pm

The wage range for this position is $15.00-$15.60. The starting salary for each application will be based on years of experience for the position.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 year degree in medical office administration or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Is at least 18 years of age

Mental Health Professional- Child and Adolescent Mental Health (OPMH): 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity in our Elk River Outpatient Mental Health (OPMH) Department for a Full-Time Child and Adolescent Mental Health Professional/Outpatient Therapist.  We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual who has a passion for person-centered, recovery-based mental health work with those experiencing significant mental health and co-occurring disorders.  The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing mental health services within a trauma informed framework.  The duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Consistently demonstrate clinical competence and professionalism by effectively providing mental health therapy and diagnostic services to individuals and families in an outpatient setting.
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and rapid screen needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with social workers, outside agencies, and other care providers to provide integrated care to clients.

The starting salary for each application will be based on degree level, licensure, and years of experience for the position. The wage range for a Mental Health Professional is $57,000-$74,400. The wage range for a Mental Health Professional – Medicare is $60,000-$95,000.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • License as an LP, LPCC, LICSW, or LMFT
  • Medicare Eligible Provider preferred
  • Two years’ experience in out-patient therapy is preferred
  • Experience and training in evidenced based practices and with SPMI populations
  • Experience in being a child and adolescent provider with clients 6+ years and older
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Is at least 18 years of age

Mental Health Professional – School Linked Mental Health- Elk River Schools: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee in our School Linked Mental Health program. This position would have the opportunity to serve the Elk River School District at Prairieview Elementary and the Middle School. The SLMH (School-Linked Mental Health) Therapist will provide mental health services primarily in a school setting. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Consistently demonstrate clinical competence and professionalism by effectively providing mental health therapy and diagnostic services to children and their families.
  • Consistently demonstrate professional behaviors that reflect respect for clients and their families, co-workers, the schools, and the organization.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with school sites and community members to expand and maintain school-linked collaborative efforts.
  • Provide medically necessary services in appropriate settings including the family when possible.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic rapport with parents and care providers to allow for improved client or student functioning.
  • Attend school conferences and school functions to provide psychoeducation and information on school-linked services.
  • Collaborate with care providers, social workers, outside agencies, and school staff.

As a member of our School Linked Mental Health program, there are opportunities to provide mental health services face to face and/or providing care through telehealth.

The starting salary for each application will be based on degree level, licensure, and years of experience for the position. The wage range for an Unlicensed/Clinical Trainee is $23.5577-$34.615. The wage range for a Mental Health Professional is $57,000-$74,400.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy;
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional as defined in 9505.0371 Minnesota Rule, Subp 5A
  • Master’s Level Mental Health Practitioner working as a Clinical Trainee on track for licensure as a Mental Health Professional as defined in 9505.0371 Minnesota Rule, subp 5C ;
  • Experience and training in behavioral learning techniques, rehabilitation theory and practice, and ability to do diagnostic assessments, and individual treatment plans;
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Requires use of personal vehicle with current vehicle insurance.

Mental Health Professional (MHP) – Outpatient Mental Health (OPMH): 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional in our Elk River Outpatient Mental Health Program. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for treating clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders within a family driven and trauma informed framework. Provider will work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team and staff; refer to other programs as needed. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide therapy to individuals, family and groups in an out-patient setting
    • Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a recipient’s eligibility for mental health services
    • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and rapid screen needs of clients
  • Participate in meetings conducive to Community Mental Health

The starting salary for each application will be based on degree level, licensure, and years of experience for the position. The wage range for a Mental Health Professional is $57,000-$74,400. The wage range for a Mental Health Professional – Medicare is $60,000-$95,000.

ACT Certified Peer Specialist

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity in our Elk River Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program as a Full-Time Certified Peer Specialist.  The Certified Peer Specialist is an active member of an evidence-based clinical team, providing medically-necessary treatment, rehabilitation and support services to identified recipients with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI). The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Functions as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills.
  • Works with clients and other treatment staff to develop a treatment/recovery plan based on each client’s identified goals.
  • Assists clients in developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy.
  • Serves as a consumer advocate, providing consumer information and peer support for clients in outpatient and inpatient settings.

This position would include Evening, Weekend, Holiday and On-Call hours.

The wage range for this position is $15.40-$18.48. The starting salary for each application will be based on years of experience for the position.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Have or had a primary diagnosis of mental illness
  • Be a current or former consumer of mental health services
  • Successful completion of the Department approved Certified Peer Specialist training and certification exam.

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Is at least 21 years of age
