Full-Time

Mental Health Professional: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity in our Monticello Outpatient Mental Health (OPMH) Department for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for treating clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders within a family driven and trauma informed framework.  The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide therapy to individuals, family and groups in an out-patient setting
  • Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a recipient’s eligibility for mental health services
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and rapid screen needs of clients

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • License as an LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT
  • Two years’ experience in out-patient therapy is preferred
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Mental Health Professional: ACT Team Lead: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Lead in our Monticello ACT Team. The ACT Team Lead establishes, administers, and directs the ACT team, a self-contained clinical team which assumes responsibility for directly providing needed treatments, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illness; supervises and evaluates the multidisciplinary team to ensure services are provided in a trauma-informed, recovery-orientated framework; and function as a practicing clinician on the team.

Qualifications

  • The ACT Team Lead shall meet the qualifications defined in MN Statute 9505.0371, subpart 5, item A for Mental Health Professionals. A Mental Health Professional must be qualified in one of the following ways:
    • In Clinical Social Work (LICSW), a person must be licensed as an independent clinical social worker by the MN Board of Social Work; or
    • In Psychology (LP), a person licensed by the MN Board of Psychology; or
    • In Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), a persona licensed as a marriage and family therapist by the MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy; or
    • In Professional Counseling (LPCC), a person licensed as a professional clinical counselor by the MN Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy.
  • Three or more years of post-graduate clinical service with adults who have severe mental illness, within a mental health setting, community mental health service is preferred
  • Supervisory/program management experience preferred
  • Good organizational skills are a must
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitation screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Mental Health Practitioner/Clinical Trainee: ACT: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Practitioner or Clinical Trainee in our Monticello Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This position provides a continuum of services including assessment, treatment, education and support. As a Clinical Trainee this position would also provide individual, group and family therapy, under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional. Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Implement services in the treatment plan for each recipient under clinical supervision
  • Complete assessments and maintain client documentation
  • Coordinate services with other programs and providers

Required Qualifications

  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Qualifications – Mental Health Practitioner

  • Has completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields and:
    • Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with:

– mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or

– Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects;

Or

  • Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with

– mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or

– Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects;

Or

  • Holds a master’s degree or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields

Or

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields

Qualifications – Clinical Trainee

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Working Towards licensure as an LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT
  • ACT Team experience
