Full-Time

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA): 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant in our Psychiatry Services department. The Certified Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant provides administrative and clinic support for assigned psychiatric providers under the supervision of a physician or RN within a family driven, trauma informed framework.  The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Check height, weight, temperature and blood pressure
  • Receive, triage calls, and take messages left by clients and forward vital information to the LPN or Provider
  • Provide administrative assistance to the LPN and Provider
  • Occasional travel to other CMMHC clinic locations as needed for clinic coverage

This position can be home-based in either St. Cloud, Monticello or Buffalo and requires no holidays, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mental health and psychiatric services preferred
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certification

Mental Health Professional: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity in our St. Cloud Outpatient Mental Health (OPMH) Department for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for treating clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders within a family driven and trauma informed framework.  The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide therapy to individuals, family and groups in an out-patient setting
  • Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a recipient’s eligibility for mental health services
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations and rapid screen needs of clients

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • License as an LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT
  • Two years’ experience in out-patient therapy is preferred
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Mental Health Practitioner: Crisis: 

Do you have a passion for providing supports to those diagnosed with a mental health disorder or looking to gain experience? If so, Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is a great place for you to begin or grow your career working with those diagnosed with a mental health disorder. We have opportunities to support a high volume of clients with complex diagnoses and co-occurring disorders as a Mental Health Practitioner or Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker in our Crisis program. CMMHC provides home, community and residential-based mental health services to individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis in a four-county area (Stearns, Benton, Sherburne & Wright), with Crisis offices located in St. Cloud and Monticello. We are willing to provide extensive training for qualified candidates.

Since we support programs on a 24/7 basis, we have a variety of shifts and schedules available:

  • Full-time or Part-time
  • Day, Evenings, Weekends and Overnights

Our Mental Health Practitioners and Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers responsibilities include:

  • Provide mobile outreach and residential services
  • Complete assessments and develops treatment plans
  • Answer the mental health crisis line and provide phone intervention as well as triage for other needed referrals and services
  • Coordinate services with other programs and providers

Required Qualifications:

  • Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults or children with

– mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance; or

– Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, recovery from mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects;

Or

  • Holds a master’s degree or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields

Or

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields

And

  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Mental Health Practitioner: IRTS: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Practitioner in our Northway IRTS program. The Mental Health Practitioner delivers intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) to recipients who are experiencing significant difficulty with daily life activities as a result of a serious mental illness in a comprehensive 24-hour service. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide medically necessary rehabilitation services and adult rehabilitative mental health services
  • Perform assessments, treatment plan development, and assistance with increased symptoms
  • Administrative and Professional responsibilities
  • Residential Household and Safety Responsibilities

This position will be for Evening & Weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • The Mental Health Practitioner shall meet the qualifications defined in Minnesota Statute 245.462 subdivision 17 or Minnesota Statute 256B.0623 subdivision 5
  • Experience and training in behavioral learning techniques, rehabilitation theory and practice
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Maintain First Aid and CPR certification

Mental Health Practitioner: ARMHS: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Practitioner in our St. Cloud Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) program. The ARMHS provider is responsible for home- and community-based mental health services to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Implement services in the treatment plan for each recipient under the clinical supervision of a Mental Health Professional
  • Complete assessments and maintain client documentation under the direction of the Mental Health Professional
  • Coordinate services with other programs and providers
  • Administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

  • The Mental Health Practitioner shall meet the qualifications defined in Minnesota Statue 245.462 subdivision 17

Mental Health Practitioner: Targeted Case Management-Adult: 

Our Targeted Case Management(TCM) team is expanding. Our program provides a passion driven, client-centered work environment with a unique blend of independence and team support.

Central MN Mental Health Center has opportunities for full time Adult Targeted Case Management positions. TCM provides home and community based mental health services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). The duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Be familiar with the implementation of Health Integration, including care coordination.
  • Establish relationships with assigned clients and their supports, while addressing goals defined in their treatment plan.
  • Assess, refer, coordinate, and monitor services.
  • Communicate regularly with all involved providers involved to ensure appropriate care, reduce duplication of services and promote client autonomy.

Wage is dependent on experience and paid on an hourly basis.

Qualifications

  • The Targeted Case Manager shall manager shall meet the following qualifications defined further in Minnesota Statute 245.462 Subdivision 4:
    • Bachelors degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
    • 2000 hours experience working with adults with serious mental illness and/or with children with severe emotional disturbances
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Clinic Manager: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Mental Health Professional Clinic Manager in our St. Cloud Outpatient Mental Health Program. The Clinic Manager’s time is dedicated at least 75% to the supervision of a given center and 25% to providing diagnostic assessment, individual and family therapy services. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional development through regular collaboration with three other Clinic Managers at CMMHC. The Clinic Manager will also meet regularly for supervision of supervision with the Director of Outpatient Services. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for day to day operations within the center; attend to operational issues, including crisis management, consultation, staff and client complaints, and coordination of care and/or treatment plans;
  • Provide direct and administrative services within a health integration and trauma informed framework;
  • Perform diagnostic assessments to determine a recipient’s eligibility for mental health services;

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • 2 years’ minimum post-licensure supervisory experience in a community mental health setting
  • Preferred candidates who have a board approved supervisor credentialing
  • Two years’ experience in outpatient therapy in preferred
  • Three to five years’ management experience preferred
  • Maintain professional competencies and appropriate licensure

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN): Detox: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Detox Program. The LPN is responsible for providing a safe environment for detox and basic patient care under the supervision of a physician or RN within a family driven, trauma informed framework. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor patient’s health condition
  • Complete Focus Health Assessment
  • Admits, transfers and discharges clients under the direction of the designated RN.
  • Accepts Detox referrals meeting admission criteria from referent agencies such as ER, law enforcement, and self-admissions
  • Processes oral, written, electronic and telephone orders from the physician

This position would include Overnight and every other weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of completion from a 12-month accredited practical nursing program
  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Minnesota without encumbrance
  • 2 years’ nursing experience preferred
  • DHS requirements of 2 years freedom from chemical use problems and a signed attestation statement
  • Maintain CPR & First Aid certification
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Part-Time

Chemical Dependency Technician: Detox: 

Central MN Mental Health Center has an opportunity for a Part-Time Chemical Dependency Technician (CD Tech) in our Detox program. The CD Tech provides ongoing support of nurses and supervision of the safety for clients. The Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to Detox Nurses
  • Supervision and care of clients
  • Custodial and clerical duties

This position would be every other weekend day shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age and free of chemical use problems (for at minimum of two year) and remain free of chemical use problems as a condition of ongoing employment
  • Maintain current CPR certification
  • Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN): Detox:
