School-Linked Mental Health

Students with mental health concerns through the 12th grade receive mental health services in partnership with school districts to remove obstacles to treatment.

Providing mental health services directly in the school setting increases access to children and adolescents. It allows collaboration with schools and community support systems to improve outcomes for those with mental health concerns. Mental health professionals engage in school interventions and design “toolboxes” to use across classrooms, embedding these resources in the school to help reduce referrals. They can see kids throughout the school day and coordinate with school staff to meet the needs of what is happening in the school.
